What Is The Cause For Vomiting And Diarhhea With Red Bumps On Her Body?

My daughter presented this afternoon with vomiting and diarrhea. She has been unable to keep anything down and just a couple of hours ago some little red bumps came up on her arm, chest, neck and face, very few. What do you think she has and what do I need to do? She doesn't act sick or feel like she has a fever.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Such symptoms seems to be caused by some food allergy reaction. If you gave her some new foods, please mark it as potentially allergic. If nothing like that has happen (she have had regular food), infection of gastrointestinal tract is also possible.
I suggest you to stop giving her solid foods for 12 hours. Give plenty of liquids and keep her well hydrated (amount of urine indicates body hydration). If the symptoms will stop, nothing else you need to do. However if she wont improve, you need to take her to the doctor.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
