What Is The Cause For Swelling In The Perineum?

Yesterday morning I noticed that it burnt when I went to the bathroom. So I felt a little down there and noticed that I was swollen. I took a mirror and looked and my Perineum is swollen. I don t know exactly what has caused this, but sometimes it hurts to sit down.

Hello
Thanks for query .You have noticed swelling in the perineal region .

In absence of any urinary symptoms this is most likely to be soft tissue infection in the perineum in a stage of induration.

Take broad spectrum antibiotics along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily for a week .

This should get cured with this treatment .

.If problem persist or it gets converted in to an abscess you will need to consult qualified General surgeon and get the abscess drained under short general anesthesia .
