What Is The Cause For Shooting Pain Near My Wrist After Blood Donation?

I donated blood a week ago. When I was stuck with the needle I felt shooting pain down my arm. It subsided at the time after a minute or two. However, the next day and on I have shooting pain near my wrist. Anytime I stretch my arm, reach for something, or lift something, I get the shooting pain. The rest of the time it just is a dull ache. Anyt thoughts?
