Thx
Hi, I have gone through your question. Lightheadedness and headache is common in third trimester because of the hormonal changes in the body which leads to low blood pressure and the pressure of the pregnant uterus on the veins which lead to decreased blood flow to the brain, and cause orthostatic hypotension. In this case, the patient feels dizzy, light headed and nauseous in standing position, gets relieved on lying down. Vomiting may also occur. Rarely such features, especially headache, occur in hypertensive disorders of pregnancy I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated and treated accordingly. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health.
