What Is The Cause For Green Mucous From The Back Of The Throat?

I have had a very hoarse voice for months now, sometimes I lose my voice completely, I also have a lot of mucus falling down the back of my throat. I do not have a sore throat. I have a watery nasal discharge. I am constantly coughing to try to clear my throat. I sometimes cough up green mucus.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of green mucous from the back of the throat which is due to chronic upper respiratory tract infection. it is due to poor oral hygiene and increased susceptibility of getting infected due to compromised immunity of body. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take throat lozenges and do warm saline gargles. Take diet rich in multivitamins. You should take antibiotic Levofloxacin in combination with antiallergic medication Sinarest. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get throat swab test done and start treatment after proper prescription. Avoid cold carbonated beverages. Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
