What Is The Cause For Discomfort In The Taint Area When Sitting After A Radical Prostectomy And Radiation?

I had a radiical prostectomy in 2008 and radiation in 2010. About a week ago I began feeling a discomfort in the taint area when sitting. When I pushed on the area today (which seemingly is the area where the bladder was resectioned to the Urinary tract there was a dull pain.. Suggestions?

Thanks for writing in.

Mild pain can occur in areas previously operated and irradiated. You need to get evaluated by your doctor and also have a CT scan or MRI scan of the involved area to rule out any persisting problems. Sometimes pain can be felt due to post treatment changes and need not necessarily indicate any recurrence.
