What Is The Cause For Diastolic Notch Seen In Right Uterine Artery And Low Line Placenta?

Hi, my wife is 5th month pregnant... and we got anamoly scan done 2 days back. It said high resistance flow with early diastolic notch seen in right uterine artery. Also it says low line placenta... i'm freaking out right now.. dont know what to ask ... could you please assess our situation and explain us what is going on

Thanks for the query.
High resistance flow with early diastolic notch may indicate placental insufficiency.
Usually these changes can be seen in conditions like gestational hypertension, gestational diabetes etc.
So regular antenatal checkups and ultrasound examinations are needed.
Bed rest, l arginine supplements, adequate hydration etc are needed.
In early weeks of pregnancy, low lying placenta can be seen.
If placenta is not approaching the cervical os, possibly that can migrate upwards with progression of gestational age.
Low lying placenta also needs bed rest, avoidance of strenuous work, journeys etc.
With proper followup and management, pregnancy can be continued and severity of the conditions can decrease.
