What Is The Cause For Clear Watery Discharge After A Cervical Polyp Removal?

I had a cervical poylp removal 8 days ago. 2 poylps size 2cm. The first 4 days I had very light pink watery discharge in the 5th day it s a clear watery discharge! Is this normal? I went to my doctor 3 days ago and he say every thing is normal and no body will suspect I had any poylps in my cervix! I read on the net the watery discharge can continue to 3 weeks ? Is that true? Should I be worried?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Watery discharge after procedure is normal, it is the body's response to procedure. Nothing to worry. Watch for signs for infection like fever, foul smelling discharge, pain.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vidya K. R., General & Family Physician
