Someone I know has metastasized cancer that started as an ocular melanoma. So when I checked my own eyes, I found there is an approx. 1 mm diameter of irregular-shaped dark spot in my iris. It is on the outside of the jagged boundary between the inner and outer parts of the iris. (I mention this because I am still confused as to whether that places it in the ciliary body, etc.) About a week ago, I did get a twig in the eye while running after my dog in the woods, although I've actually forgotten which eye. So I'm just wondering if it's most likely a trauma injury, a nevi...or the unthinkable. Thanks for any help.
