What Is The Cause And Treatment For Laryngitis?

Hi, I have laryngitis, ear pain, sore throat with some red & white patches, tightness in upper chest area. I had chicken pox 2 weeks ago & was put on antiviral medicine from that. Sore throat started midway through treatment and has progressively gotten worse to today. Laryngitis started 2 days ago. No obvious drainage from sinuses. Nose has been clear. Suggestions?

well for red white patches in throat, sore throat, chest tightness etc do the following-

gargle with povidone iodine twice daily
tab azithromycin 500 once daily or coamoxyclav 625 thrice daily for 5 days
syrup grilinctus -bm or ascoril- ls twice daily 5 ml for 5 days
