What Is The Cause And Treatment For Coughing?

hello doc, so many years ago my mother had a problem of coughing when eat something.....day by day it goes badly....recently we go to to a ent doctor & he said that her left vocal cord paralyzed....thats why my mother coughing.....he said that after 6 month of paralyze he can not treat the paralyzed vocal cord......my mother have only coughing problem.....her voice is alright....now what can i do sir....what is the tratment left for her problem....please help

Thanks for your query.
Noted that your mother HSS already been diagnosed as one vocal cord paralysis, but you say the voice is normal. This means we have to first find the cause of vocal cord paralysis and the cause of coughing too.
I do not think that paralyzed vc can cause coughing.
I would advise you to take another opinion and go for MRI of the brain, neck, X-ray of the chest and also an opinion of a neurologist.
