Hello
As you mentioned that your mother were treated for sarcoidosis 3 years back with steroid treatment , now relapse is there in bones .
I want to tell you that Sarcoidosis is multisystem disease which may present w/non-specific symptoms or related to organ-specific involvement . In your mother case this time may be bone-specific sarcoidosis.
Doctor diagnosed it with ACE CONVERTING ENZYME levels .
Now a day this is no a specific test because many other diseases also elevated this enzyme level .
However the drug of choice is corticosteroid and other drugs are.
Cytotoxic agents are azathioprime .
Methotraxate ,
chlorambucil
cyclophospahmide .
Since all these drugs are prescription drugs , so consult one more specialist and get his opinion.
You didn't mention the symptoms of bone sarcoidosis , so very difficult to say any thing about bones.
Still I recommend to get in bone biopsy for confirmation.
I find this answer helpful
