What Is The Best Treatment For Itching And Redness In Groin Region ?

Hi. I have itching in groin region (inner thigh and lining between the thighs and the trunk) since past 2 weeks. I have been applying Itchguard twice a day over the past week. I can resist itching for few hours after applying Itchguard but in 12 hours the effect completely goes away and there is strong burning sensation to itch. Then I have to apply itchguard again. The redness of the skin has not reduced and itching continues.

Hello Abhi
Thank you for getting in touch with us. The signs and symptoms you have described are commonly seen in many individuals. Due to the stress filled life, people are often not able to maintain proper hygiene and our groin region is particularly susceptible to infections. If the itching has not going away since past two weeks, I would recommend you to consult a dermatologist and get it examined. It might be a fungal or bacterial infection and the Doctor can examine it and prescribe some topical cream. In addition, please maintain proper hygiene and make sure the groin area is fully dry after you take a shower. Hope this helped.
Regards
