What Is The Best Treatment For Eczema?

My daughter has a severe case of eczema. She also has allergies and has had shots for this. We have been to a dermatologist with just temporary relief, do to steroid shots. We have tried all kinds of topical creams, too. What kind of help can you offer? She is graduating high school and would really like some relief soon. Any ideas, she really suffers?

Hi,

I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like clobetasol propionate cream on the affected areas once daily along with tacrolimus 0.1 percent ointment on the affected areas at bedtime along with frequent and regular application of a moisturizing lotion on the entire body 2-3 times during the day time. Also take antihistaminic like tablet cetrizine 10 mg twice daily.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist
