What is the best treatment for a gum infection?

I have a sever gum disease they call it Calulitis, I took 300mg, 4 four times a day for a week. Than when the swelling went down 3 per day. There is a new gum inflammation is showing on the other side of the mouth. I feel that antibiotic is not helping and it seems to affect my heart and cause bad constipation. I am also taking mild probiotic and some vitamins and herbs for my heart condition. What is your advice for infected gums?Thank you,Ida

I had damage to my gum in a pocket, and maybe a vein in my gum that bled and was trapped in the gum. It was infected and swelled. After months of antibiotics and not knowing what it was I found it and cleaned it with Hydrogen peroxide. Its doing much better and no more pain but it seems like there is something still producing pus. The periodontist took xrays and says he doesn t know what it is and thought it was just healing. Since then a sliver of bone that was exposed has fallen off, but it keeps seeming like there is still an infection somewhere. What should I do?

what antibiotics are safe to treat gum and teeth infections, after i have experienced fluoroquinolone damage? I was damaged by an fq drug, have since recovered (more or less), and since then i have taken keflex without incident , but i know there are some drugs that can cause similar effects, and might further damage me.
