What Is The Best Remedy For Mouth Sore?

Dear Doctor Narasi,
My twelve years old son is suffering from mouth sore since October 2011, thinking that it was just an ordinary mouth sore we treated the wound with a regular medicine such as daktarin, roa gel etc. But on December 2011 still the mouth sore was present and the worst is that it scattered to the inner portion of his mouth. Our doctor gave him antibiotic (zinath) for seven days and then he was cured, however recurrence of mouth sore was again observed after two weeks. Since then, continues medication was regularly done and on July 2012 we found out that the wound was already healed , but on September 3, 2012 our son has again felt pain in his lips and also on his tongue because of mouth sore. Can I ask your advice of what really is the best remedy or medicine to this kind of illness? Thank you.

thanks for your query, i have gone through your query. the repeated soreness could be the recurrent aphthous stomatitis or herpetic ulcers or pemphigus. consult your oral physician to rule out these things later after diagnosing we can treat them accordingly. if it is aphthous ulcer it can be treated with topical steroids(triamcinolone acetonide) or amlexanox paste. if it it is herpetic originn the antiviral with topical anesthetic, analgesics. all these lesions usually get aggrevated folowing stress or trauma. donot take tension. i hope my answer will help you. take care.
