Dear Patient,
i would like to inform you that all antiarthritic drugs are experimental, and they have no evidence to prove that it reverts
arthritis, or prevents further damage, the list of drugs is long, diacerene,
glucosamine, chondrotin sulphate etc, these are more of company gimmicks, to promote there products, and all studies showing good results are sponsored by these companies, moreover
intraarticular injections, which are even very costly, have now been stopped by the american association of orthopaedic surgeons.
All drugs that affect pain in the joint are analgesics, with antiinflammatory drugs,
the best known method to control further joint damage or to say reduce the rate of destruction, is exercise. regular and sustained, and only those advises.
If all this does not help, replacement surgery is the treatment of choice, the treatement like chondrocyte culture, are also for small defects, not for full blown arthritis,
if you can send the
X ray of your joint, than the condition of it can be seen and treatment advised accordingly.
Thanks
