What Is The Progesterone Soft Gelatine Capsule 200mg For In Pregnancy?

Hi... I was diagnosed with pcos long back and last year I was able to reduce 8-9 kg of my weight with proper diet and exercise ... And fortunately I have conceived naturally and 6.4 weeks pregnant now... I am on certain medication prescribed by doctor...one of which is Progesterone soft gelatine capsule 200mg (dubagest-200).... What is the need of progesterone and is it safe?

Yes, it is safe in pregnancy. Doctor prescribe it to give support to pregnancy by giving progesterone. Generally , it is prescribed in early pregnancy, to avoid abortion also.
