Hello, thanks for choosing HCM.whenever there is highly abnormal folw of blood across normal valve or normal blood flow across abnormal valve in heart, a peculiar sound is generated within the heart and can be heard with stethocscope. This abnormal sound is called Murmur.when on auscultation such murmur is low in intensity we call it soft murmur.Usually it indicates mild or nonsignificant lesion in heart.
