What Is Normal Heart Rate In Infants?

My daughter went in for her first ultrasound to see how far along she is in her pregnancy. When she went to the Dr's office for her results she was unable to see her normal OB/GYN. She was told that the baby aprx. .38cm long and had a heart rate of 45bpm. Is there anything that the Dr. could do to save her baby. The Dr. didn't show any concern for the low heart rate. My daughter did research on line to find out what the heart rate should be at that stage and found out that it was supposed to be around 145. She contacted her own Dr. on Monday and when she went in on Tuesday there was no longer a heart rate.

Hi,

Continual monitoring is needed to observe the fetal heart rate If it is low heart beat, like 45 bpm then it is too low to survive. It is advisable to get the heart rate done on another machine. Go for second opinion, complete case history and other parameters needed for concrete opinion. If the heart rate is the only concern then it is difficult to save the fetus
