Radiologist 's  Response
Hi,

There is a possibility of a cancer like process, however it can also be an infective or inflammatory cause. Needle biopsy is difficult if the lesion is over a small area and in a difficult part of the spine. Please discuss with your neurosurgeon for the likely procedure to be done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Vivek Chail, Radiologist
