What Is Large Mass Found In Fundus?

I had a pelvic ultrasound and they found a large mass on the fundus

measuring 8.6x7.6 cm at level of umblicus. Mass was poorly seen due to far superior location. Likely this represents fibriod, however neoplasm cannot be entiirely excluded. Further work up with MRI may be helpful for further evaluation. These are my results, what are the chances this could be cancer? Are large tumors often canceous?

welcome to Health care magic.
1.Most possible cause could be fibroid uterus. Most commonly the fibroids are benign in nature. As mentioned in report there are rare cases neoplasm are also seen.
2.Since it was a pelvic scan and mass was large - the technician might not able to delineate the mass and its extensions and its margins.
3.MRI is best modality for anatomical delineation - which help in anatomical location, its origin and spread, and its content also evaluated.
4.No chances are less - get it work up faster and get it operated as soon as possible before it get compacted.
5.No Large timers are no always cancerous.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
