Hello Reena;
Welcome to HealthcareMagic
Glaucoma is an eye problem in which the optic nerve is damaged, permanently damaging vision in the affected eye and can lead to complete blindness if not treated in time.This condition may be associated with increased pressure of the fluid in the eye which gives rise to pain in eye.The common causes are injury to the eye;diabetic retinopathy that is damage due to diabetes;prolonged used of medicines like steroids.The main goal of treatment in glaucoma is to prevent or minimize the damage to the nerve so that the vision can be saved to the best possible extent and second is to maintain the internal pressure of the eye.For detailed treatment you will have to consult your Opthalmologist and he will investigate and prescribe the needed medications for you.
Take care.
