What Is Causing My Lower Back Pain And Mild Headache?

Symptoms 4 days ago : a lot of discomfort on L side about waist area. Pain in lower back. Mild constant headache. Pain relieved only by Lortab. No appetite. No fever or upper respiratory symptoms. Distended abdomen. No energy at all. Today went to work . Felt somewhat better. Pain is moderate in same areas. Several very small formed BMs but feeling of having to have bowel movement often. Much flatulance today. No bloody stools.

Thank you for your question and welcome to Health Care Magic. I read your query and I understand your concern and the anguish that you are having.

Based on the description you have given, it seems that you have a gastric infection or gastritis. This occurs and causes the pain that you are having.Gastric pain refers to the back as well and thus can cause issues as well.

You can do the following for 2 days. If this does not help you, then you will need antibiotics.

Try taking 20 ml of Pepto-Bismol 2 times a day. Drink lots of water and avoid eating spicy and oily foods.
