What Is Causing Abdominal Pain And Blood Spotting?
Hi. For the last week i have had lower abdominal pain, spotting of blood and need to pee alot. I took a pregnancy test and it was negiaive. I went to my doctor and he said it could just be the inplant i have in my arm but i think its something more serious. Thanks, Carol
As your pregnancy test is negative the possible cause of your spotting and abdominal pain could be the implant as suggested by your doctor. The implant can lead to side effects like inter-menstrual spotting abdominal cramps by causing reproductive hormonal fluctuation. Usually this type of symptoms subside soon without the need for any medication when the reproductive hormonal balance is achieved.
If the symptoms persist or recur, then better to get evaluated. At that time, please undergo and ultrasound to see the size of the uterus and endometrial thickness with this work-up any structural or hormonal abnormality causing the inter-menstrual spotting can be identified and treatment can be planned accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
