What Is Causing A Lump In The Joint Between Thigh And Pelvis?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...There is an inch long lump on the left side of my pubis. I doubt it is anything but I suspect a swollen gland. Do I need to see a doctor or just wait. It has been there about 2 days. Showed up after a 10 mile bike ride - first bike ride in 9 years.

1.The possible cause will be lymph nodal enlargement. lymph nodal enlargement will be seen after any infection / inflammation.
2.The excessive stress the thigh muscle have experienced after the bike ride after a long time - may possibly give lymph nodal enlargement due to localised stress.
3.If any other underlying medical condition you are experiencing - treat the cause first.
4.If lumps persists with out any pathology - an ultrasound examination of the lump - will help to analyse the nature of the lump, its source and extensions.
5.Depending on findings a needle sample might be necessary. ant treatment depending on findings. Good luck.
