Hi. My uncle passed away last month, and we have just discovered after a post mortem, that he died of arthoscropic coronary artery disease. What does this mean and how long would he have had it. Would he have had a peaceful death or would he have been in pain. He was an every day drinker. Would this have been a trigger. Thanks
hello thanks for posting here. there is no term such as arthroscopic coronary artrty disease. I think the term is atherosclerotic coronary artery disease. Which means disease of the heart due to deposition of cholesterol in the vessels which supply blood to the heart. so in short he had a heart attack. patients udually experince chest pain, breathlessness, sweating during a heart attack. Some patients especially diabetics have no symptoms during an ongoing heart attack. So it is difficult to say whether he passed aeay in pain or peacefully. alcohol can lead to development of other risk factors for coronary artery disease so although it doesnt directly cause coronary artery disease, it may increase the risk of a coronary artery disease. my deepest condolences. take care
