An aortic aneurysm involves the aorta, one of the large arteries that carries blood from the heart to the rest of the body. The aorta bulges at the site of the aneurysm like a weak spot on an old worn tire.

I recently applied for Life Ins and was rejected because of a Dilated Aortic Root. Two years ago I had a echocardiogram and ultrasound done because my Father had an Aortic Aneurism the size of an orange removed. I was told it is hereditary so I wanted to take the steps and make sure I was okay. After the tests I spoke with my primary care doctor and was told everything is okay. I called to find out what this was and my doctor has retired. I was told I needed to see a doctor before they could discuss my file. I have an appointment in 3 weeks. Do I need to be concerned that I wasn t ever told this? Why would the life insurance company reject me and the doctors not inform me of this situation? I m guessing it s of some concern considering the life insurance company doesn t want to insure me.

I am having pain at the lower part of my ribs on my right side but it isn't my ribs. I have fullness & indigestion. When I was at the chiropractor this week, my pulse was running around 100 to 110 but my blood pressure was 122/84. I am 39, 5'2" & weight 118 lbs. I have had an abdominal ultrasound about 3 months ago for this same pain & my doctor reported everything looked normal. History: both parents have high blood pressure, grandmother died from lung & adrenal cancer & other grandmother had abdominal aortic aneurism.
I just had an Ultra sound done for AAA (Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm) and waiting on the results. I have a healthy life style in every department. I have had this ball above my belly button since I was 5 yrs old and now I'm 37. It only comes up with nerves or when I’m upset. Can Nerves aggravate AAA since it seems that is the only time I get the pulsating ball in my stomach? Or can there be another reason for this pulsating hard ball that I need to look into it?
