Basically Blood Pressure measures your heart. The top number is the systolic number and measures the pressure exerted from the left ventricle of the heart. This is where the heart pumps the blood to the body. So when the heart contracts, this is the force. The bottom number is the diastolic number, this is when the heart, left ventricle is at rest. So you can see blood pressure measures the pressure. There could be numerous reasons for this reading. Personally I would see a doctor and see what the underlying cause is, maybe it is normal for you, but I would get it checked out. This is on the lower end of the reading. They say the systolic should be between 80 and 110, use to be 120 but they recently changed it. My wife has the same thing, here pressure use to be around 110 and now it is in the lower 80's. That's just the way her blood pressure. Again see a doctor and maybe this is OK for her, but on the other hand it could indicate another problem going n with her body and should be checked out just to make sure.
