What Is A Hypoplastic Pancreas ?
Hi I m a mother of 3 ... 28 years old :) I had a MRI done last night because of low back and abdominal pain . The doctor came back and said I had hypoplastic pancreas I am extremely worried cause I didnt really get any information on it.. And can t seem to research much.. Can someone please tell me anything about this??? does it cause cancer? Will I be ok lol.. Obviously will be going to the doctor ASAP just wish I could get some kind of answer anything please :)

abnormality consisting the parenchyma
and ductal system restricted to the head with some
residual dorsal tapering this anomaly may be associated woth acute pancreatitis

Welcome to healthcaremagic.com.Pancreatic hypoplasia is an extremely rare congenital developmental anaomaly wherein portions of pancreas are missing.Commonly paitents present with abdominal pain .treatment depends on whether the pancreas is inflammed -acute pancreatitis or absence of secreting enzymes.Both conditions treatment differs.
