Im currently 28 weeks pregnant and I was diagnosed in 2009 with pancreas divisum. I am only 19yrs old and keep hearing its rare for me to have pancreatitis. I keep having episodes even though I eat super healthy. I was wondering with me being pregnant if my baby could irrate my pancreas because I have been having some pains (about a 2, I have high pain tolerance). I also would like to know how long after I give birth do I need to have surgery on my pancreas, ERCP. I had an ERCP in 2009, they cut my duct open and placed a stent which I passed and thought I was going to be healed, but this past July a Dr said I would need to have the surgery done again. Need advice, please.
Hi, my father has been having alot of problems with upset stomach over the past several months. They had changed his medicines and he felt these medicines were the cause. So he had stopped using some trial and error to see if this stopped his problem. His upset stomach is not constant. It will be fine for days and then flare up again. He had lost close to 25 lbs. over a 2 month period with out trying. He however does not feel bad and does not have any pains. He had a scope of his colon 2 weeks ago and all came back good. They then did a scan of his abdomen last week and called today and told him that his pancreas is enlarged. They said a normal size is 2 to 3 and his is a 13. I guess my question is what are general causes for this and is this the same thing as pancreaitis?
went in today with rightside back pain and side stomach pain my dr ordered blood and a ct scan. results back swollen pancreas he told me to stop drinking as I drink six pack of beer a day ave should I be doing more I also smoke but read that this is a concern if it persists
I think I have pancreatitis. It flared up suddenly about a week to ten days ago. I thought it was the flu. It gets better if I don t eat; then gets worse if I do eat. I have had this before...and just get sent home form the Emergency Room. If it is Chronic Pancreatitis, will it show up on any medical tests? Or only if it is acute pancreatitis? I don t have a ride to the ER; should I look for one, or call an ambulance. I also have chills, weakness, and now am getting spaced out, e.g unable to concentrate.

have had pancreatitis off and on for over two years now...had gallbladder removed 3 years ago...sphinter of oddi disfunction, biliary diskenesia, i cannot eat without throwing up everytime, i have chronic diahrea, i was just admitted to the hospital with severe pain in my abdomen which was constant right side of my belly button and radiated to my right side and was burning. No fever. No white blood cell elevation..ct scan showed no bowel obstruction or inflammation and blood work showed no pancreatic elevation. They said nothing was wrong with me and sent me home...SOMETHING is wrong. I asked for a CT of my appendix and they did CT without contrast looking for kidney stones. No stones. Never redid CT for appendix. What should i do and what might this be?
