What Happens If A Damaged Pacemaker Is Not Replaced?

my mom has altzheimers and has had a stroke her pacemaker battery is dying my sister does not want to replace it because she has no quality of life i am upset because i don t believe it is our place to not replace it she cannot survive without it if its not replaced what will happen to her when it stops working
