What Else To Do For Extremely Dry Eyes Other Than Using OTC Eye Drops, Restasis And Serum Tears?

My wife has extremely dry eyes. She has been going to a DO/MD for many years. The only way she can get relief is to lie down and close her eyes. She has tried OTC eye drops (Systane, Refresh, and many more) She also tried Restasis and even had drops made from her own blood (Serum Tears). None of these treatments worked. Are there other treatments? Who is considered a leading expert/practitioner for dry eyes?

She had lense implants several years ago, but this had no effect on dry eyes. They improved her vision significantly. Her eyes continue to get worse in spite of her use of drops several times a day.
She really needs help ASAP

Hello
It seems from the history that your wife is having extremely dry eyes and she is having treatment for the same in the form of Artificial tear eye drops.
The other options for treatment available are
Use of punctal plugs
Use of antimetabolite eye drops like cyclosporine eye drops.

Do consult your doctor for further advice and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
