What Else Can Be Done In Kerosene Ingestion?

my 3 year old boy of medium weight swallowed 3 mouthfull of kerosine,he vomited,his breath smell of it-if it went to the lungs how can he best be helped-he s gotten azithromycin,coldcap syrup,ibuprofen already. robert (lamu kenya) waiting for an answer.

Hi, kerosene ingestion can lead to pneumonia, an x ray chest should be done after 6 hrs of kerosene ingestion. Do not attempt for vomiting in child. If there is slight breathing problem the child should be hospitalised and oxygen, fluids and antibiotics should be given.
