Hello Dr, My name is Radhika, am of age 33 and diagnosed with hypothyroid 2 years back during my pregnancy. I was taking 5omcg but from last 1 month i was not taking the medicine and 4 days back have done the test my TSH level is increased to 30. Can you guide what dose of thyronom i used start now? Thank you
The increase in TSH is likely because you stopped the medication. You can restart Thyronorm 50 mcg again. Take the tablet in the morning before breakfast. Check TSH after 1 month. If the TSH is still high, the dose of thyronorm can be increased to 75 mcg.
Hope this answers your question Please let me know if you need further clarifications Regards Dr.Lekshmi
