What Does Traces Of Blood In Saliva Indicate?
I'm a 52 year old female with a history of smoking (ca. 6 a day, but with periods of no smoking at all). Normal weight, regular checkups, healthy and take no medications. I drink a couple of glasses of red wine with dinner. I've been noticing a trace of blood in my saliva. I'm worried. Online I've read varying possibilities and differing advice on who to see--a dentist, my internist, or an ENT. Suggestions?
