What Does Total Cholesterol Of 156 Suggest?

I am a 24 year old woman and my Total Cholesterol is 156, my LDL is 97, my HDL is only 42. How bad is this? How can I raise it? At 24, am I in extreme risk for a stroke? I work in an office all day and realize I need to now exercise and eat more healthily. How much would this effect the HDL levels?

You have a normal cholesterol levels, LDL levels and HDL levels and you are at no risk for having a stroke.
Your activity levels affect the HDL levels. To increase your HDL levels, starts exercising like briskwalking atleast 30-45minutes a day atleast 5 days a week.
Some general diet tips are: Include more of vegetables and fruits in your diet. Have more of whole grains. Avoid fried and packaged foods. Drink atleast 10-12 glass of water everyday.
