What Does Tingling Sensation In The Hands And Feet Indicate?

I m experiencing somewhat frequently pins and needles in my hands and feet. Also in my hands sometimes feel like i have electrical pulsing in my hands and fingers. I am a 53 yr. old female in otherwise great health. The symptoms seem more pronounced around periods of physical activity--like a few days snow skiing.
