What Does This Uterine Biopsy Report Indicate?

I need help understanding the results of a uterine biopsy performed. I am a breast cancer survivor and get nervous regarding tests. During the procedure the doctor removed a polyp and also performed the biopsy. My results were emailed to me in my online chart and read as follows: cervical polyp excision - endocervical polyp with immature squamous metaplasia, microglandular hyperplasia, and moderate chronic inflammation, endometrial biopsy - proliferative endometrium. Can you please explain if these tests results are normal?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on the description, it says that you had an endometrial growth called 'polyp', which was removed and its histopathological examination was done.
There is no need to worry much about it at this stage as the findings suggests that it only relates to benign non-cancerous changes such as immature squamous mataplasia and microglandular hyperplasia.
Since the report also says moderate chronic inflammation, you need a regular follow-up to look for progress into malignancy.
Hope the information provided would be useful.
All the best.
