What Does This Urinalysis Indicate?

hi. my mother is 87 y.o. and her urinalysis taken this a.m. resulted in the presence of pus cells of 6-8/hpf. the urine's appearance is slightly turbid. ph is 6, specific gravity is 1.015, albumin-trace, sugar-negative, RBC is 1-2, epithelial cells are few and bacteria is few. she urinates frequently at night as she drinks a lot of water after dinner. she doesn't have any feeling of burning sensation or any pain at all during or after urinating. she doesn't have any fever as well. are the results indicate any presence of infection/UTI?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

What is important here is to see, if she is asymtomatic . We can simply ignore the test as its not confirmed evidence of UTI, however if we want to confirm evidence then that need another test that is called urine culture and sensitivity. That would settle the presence or absence of infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
