Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

The scan showing bilateral fetal renal pelvis can be due to extra-renal pelvis. Extra-renal pelvis is a normal renal anomaly. This may give rise of repeated urinary tract infection in future. However, currently there is no risk to well being of the baby.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
