Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
On my ultrasound report it says small pocket of fluid in the upper endometrial cavity which is likely an incidental finding what does this mean?! I m 25 years old and have been trying to conceive for 8 months now but my periods are very irregular so that s why my doctor sent me for a pelvic u/s to see if I had any abnormalities. Bloods were negative for pregnancy 5 days before this ultrasound but I m being sent for more to be done in 6 days because it might have been too early to test. I ve been researching and I ve scared myself thinking it s an ectopic pregnancy, please give me some advice.
HI, Welcome to the HCM, I read you query carefully. if your Blood test for pregnancy is negative then it can not be ectopic pregnancy. Fluid pocket can be in case of early pregnancy or it can also be an indication of infection. do you have any complaint of vaginal discharge (foul smelling)?? you should go for follow up Ultrasound. hope so it will be helpful. For any query or follow up you can write again. Regards
