What Does This Test Result Of Ultrasound During Pregnancy Indicate?
My wife is 28 weeks pregnant. US has done on completion of 28 weeks.Dr. told Mild prominence of lateral ventricles noted..likely to b insgnfcnt..a followup aftr 1 month is recomnded.after see the report.is it serious issue.? My wife sugar level is bit high as per last checkup.pls advice
I have seen many pregnant ladies with similar ultrasound findings at this stage of pregnancy. It may be variant of normal findings and nothing to be concerned about. I would suggest a followup ultrasound in late pregnancy and after delivery( ultrasound of the baby).
In case it persists after delivery.....even then it is treatable and for that you will have to consult a neonatologist.
I hope this answers your query. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns. Wishing you and your baby good health.
