General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There are many possible conditions which can cause enlargement of the liver. Enlarged liver is usually caused by liver disorders related to excessive alcohol use, congestive heart failure, glycogen storage disease, viral hepatitis, liver cancer, cirrhosis, and steatosis. I suggest to check the liver enzymes and bilirubin level. I also suggest to do the hepatitis tests.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
