Hello,

The pap smear report shows changes suggestive of an infection. The presence of abundant neutrophils suggests an acute infection and is a defense mechanism initiated by the body to tend to the infection.

The shift in the vaginal flora is due to the infection. There is no need to worry as there is no abnormal cell pattern detected. Just get treated for the infection and maintain proper genital hygiene and regular follow up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shanti Vennam,
