What Does This Endovaginal Sonogram Report Indicate?
I had an endovaginal sonogram done in these days. This is what was written in the report. There is a retroverted uterus that measures 7.8 x 4.3 x 4.5 cms. The endometrium is homogeneous with thickness of 0.4 cms. There are developing follicles in both ovaries. The dominant follicular cyst is seen in the left ovary and it measures 1.0 cms. This ovary shows a maximum diameter of 2.6 cms and the right ovary shows a maximum diameter of 3.1 cms. What does all that mean in simple words? Is it something to worry about?

The report is absolutely fine and all the findings are normal. There is no need to worry at all. The size of the uterus is normal, endometrium is the inner uterine lining it is normal, developing follicles are the female eggs that develop, they are normal and follicular cysts are incidental findings need not worry about those at all.
