What Does This Echocardiogram Test Result Indicate?

Hi . I need some information. My niece had a echocardiogram. The results were(L) ventricular was mildly dilated , mild martail regurgitation and mild trace of tricuspid regurgitation. How serious is this her doctor really didn t say much except he wants her to do a stress test?

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The following conclusions can be inferred based on the echocardiogram report you have posted of your neice.
The left ventricle has been mildly enlarged. This could be due to regurgitation of blood as the valves inside the heart, namely mitral and tricuspid are not functioning optimally.
Right now the situation seems to be manageable. But if it further continues, then she might have problems associated with weak heart.
Treatment for this condition depends on the cause and hence needs further evaluation.
Kindly get the prescribed tests done and consult Cardiologist with the report for proper evaluation and management.
