Hi, I understand your concerns about what you are going through.
First of all, I will say that the test results presented are inconclusive, assuming they are reliable.
As regards the
WIDAL test, the titres are small indicating a past
typhoid infection or the onset of a new infection. If another WIDAL test is done after a few days and shows rising titres, then an active typhoid infection is very likely. If the titres stay the same, then it is probably a past infection. Alternatively, blood or stool culture can be done and they are more specific but not always positive even in case of an active infection.
Concerning the MP test, a negative test performed by an experienced technician rules out
malaria in most but not all cases. In malaria endemic regions, a repeat test should be performed if
fever persists after two days.
If repeat tests are still inconclusive and/or symptoms persist, other causes of fever should be investigated.
I hope this adequately addresses your concerns. In case of further concerns, be sure to contact me again. Wish you good health.
