I was on neomercazole (carbimazole) 5 mg 2 tablets 3 times daily for 4 months then my tsh level reached 50.50 and the t 3 and t 4 went below normal. Then was advised to stop my medicine and start eltroxin 50 mcg for one month. But within 7 days I was having severe headache and pulse reach 110. Did a blood test results came as follows. Tsh 0.191 T3 2.04 T4 4.63 Now I was advised by one doctor to stop all the medicine Advised by another to start 25 mcg eltroxin Advised by another to take inderal 10 mg twice daily. Please advise what would be better done. My pulse is still over 100, I have severe headache and I am always feeling hot. Pain in my legs started again. Thanks
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Looking at the symptoms and Thyroid Profile Report, it appears that you have primarily thyroid disorder. Based on the report you have posted, TSH is less with 0.191 as normal range is 0.3 - 5.0 U/mL. T3 is marginally less with 2.04 as normal range is 2.3- 4.2 pg/mL. T4 is high with 4.63 as normal range is 0.8 - 1.8 ng/dL. The other symptoms you are having also seems to be related to thyroid illness. Hence, you need to consult Endocrinologist for proper evaluation and management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
