What Does This Blood Report Indicate?

My son is 3.5 yr old having cough since 3 months on n off his wbc counts 18900 and esr is 35 and crp level is 52 2 time prescribed with antibiotics now doc prescribed augmentin syrup 5ml thrice a day with levoline plus 2.5ml thrice a day, is it ok to give augmentin thrice a day???? Atleast thist time it will cured??????

Cough since three month and total count is high with elevated ESR...

Here chest x ray also can be done as cough since long duration to rule out any consolidation if present

You have not mentioned full report.. High total count with neutrophils high suggestive towards bacterial infection..

It might be bacterial bronchitis for which your child prescribed antibiotic syrup

Hence follow the pediatrician advise as this seems to be bacterial infection and do follow up visit after prescribed duration
