General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, i do care for your concern.
This X-ray suggest that there is fluid collection in the pleural space(pleural effusion).
the pleura forms the outer covering of the lungs, and this may get infected by various routes.
I would advise to
Consult your physician, so as to get examination done, since it is a minimal effusion, it can be managed with antibiotics.
however recurrent collection of fluid, needs aspiration and study of the fluid, to know the exact cause and pathogen.
Dry cough is due to irritation caused by fluid to the pleura.
Hope medication will relieve your symptoms.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
I find this answer helpful
